From a group of young people’s everyday observations and experience relating to gender prejudice, VOGE was founded on May 27th 2016. Then, Ms. Hoàng Diệu Linh and Bùi Trần Bảo Ngọc laid down the first “bricks” for the construction that would later be known as VOGE.

In the beginning, VOGE was intended to be a short-term project with events only during summertime such as “Gender Equality and I” Summer camp. As told by the first generation VOGErs, they faced multiple challenges in the early days – lack of human resources, lack of financial resources and even the team’s inexperience in many aspects – but they kept moving forward.

After the first year, VOGE finally touched the hearts of a few in the public, the team became more mature and others started joining.
